Productive and Unforgettable: Teaching under the Erasmus+ Program in Greece
The Associate Professor of English for Non-Philological Majors of DNU Natalia Stirnik taught at the Greek Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in December. The opportunity to spend a week as a lecturer at a foreign university is provided by the EU Erasmus+ academic exchange program.

At Aristotle University, Natalia Styrnik gave lectures to students at the intersection of language, psychology, culture, digital learning, and modernist literature.
During her week-long stay at Aristotle University, Natalia Styrnik also joined a professional discussion “Academic Writing in the Digital Age: Artificial Intelligence Tools and Their Critical Use” with colleagues from the Center for Foreign Language Teaching. During the discussion of the role of artificial intelligence and the place of the teacher, both skeptical and optimistic opinions were heard in the audience, which leaves the question open and makes the discussion interesting.

According to the terms of the program, all expenses – transfer, accommodation and meals – are covered by the host party. The Erasmus+ agreement between DNU and Aristotle University has been in effect since 2017. During this time, several students and teachers of DNU became participants of academic mobility in Greece (students studied for a semester, and teachers gave lectures for a week). The last visit to Thessaloniki was in the spring of 2024, when Associate Professor of the Department of General and Social Psychology Viktoriya Kutepova-Bredun held a class for Greek students on the topic “The State of Flow in Creative Activities”, and for master's and postgraduate students she gave a lecture “Features of Mental Health of Ukrainians during Martial Law”.

To become a participant in the exchange program, Natalia Stirnik first joined the competitive selection within DNU, and then - at a Greek university. The implementation of the Erasmus+ program, support for participants, and registration of foreign trips at our university is handled by the Department of International Relations and Academic Exchanges.
