

Admission of Foreigners to Study at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University

Oles Honchar Dnipro National University (hereinafter – DNU) may admit foreigners to study under the programmes of the preparatory faculty (subdivision), to study the state language and/or the language of instruction, as well as for postgraduate education, advanced training and internships.
Foreigners may be admitted to study in person and/or remotely. Foreigners are enrolled for study using the Unified Interdepartmental Information System of Ukraine for Foreigners and Stateless Persons (hereinafter referred to as the Unified System).
The validity of an electronic invitation to study issued through the Unified System is no more than 6 (six) months from the date of affixing an electronic qualified seal of the educational institution or a qualified electronic signature of an authorised person of the educational institution.
Foreigners who have received an electronic invitation to study and have: legalised their studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that issued the document on education; legalised their documents at the consular section of a diplomatic mission of Ukraine abroad (consular legalisation or apostille, depending on the country) may participate in the remote admission.
To organise remote enrolment of foreigners, DNU conducts identification of the person and entrance examinations in a remote format with their video recording (including from the screen of the applicant's device).
In the case of remote admission, a foreigner sends legalised or notarised copies of documents on previous education to the DNU by post. When crossing the state border of Ukraine for the first time and upon arrival at the educational institution, the foreigner hands over the original documents in person.

Admission Online (by distance)
The foreigner sends legalised and notarised copies of documents on previous education to the DNU by post.
When crossing the state border of Ukraine for the first time and upon arrival at the educational institution, the foreigner hands over the original documents in person.

The Procedure for Personal Application for Admission to DNU
The foreigner personally submits an application in paper form to the Admissions Committee.
A Bachelor's Degree
Admission is based on a school or college education:
For admission to the Preparatory Department and for admission to obtain a bachelor's degree (master's degree in medicine), the following are submitted:
- Application for admission.;
- Application form.
- National passport of a foreigner or other document certifying a stateless person with a visa type D-13 for countries with a visa issued by the consular offices of Ukraine abroad based on invitations to study, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine (original and 2 copies of the translation into Ukrainian with notarisation in Ukraine). In case of absence of a D-13 visa, undergo the procedure of legalisation of educational documents in the country of their issuance: (legalisation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the country that issued the educational document; legalisation in the consular department of the diplomatic mission of Ukraine abroad (consular legalisation or apostille)).
- Document on previous education (complete secondary education) (original and 2 copies with translation into Ukrainian and notarisation).
- Annexes to the document on education (list of studied disciplines) (original and 2 copies with translation into Ukrainian and notarisation).
- 6 photos 3×4 cm in size, matte; (or sent electronically in good quality).
- Consent to the collection and processing of personal data – the DNU provides the consent form.
- Liability insurance contract for reimbursement of expenses in case of administrative expulsion from Ukraine (deportation).
Master's Degree
Admission is based on a bachelor's degree or higher:
For admission to study for a master's degree, the following are required:
- Application for admission;
- Questionnaire;
- A foreigner's national passport or other document certifying a stateless person with a D-13 visa for countries with a visa entry procedure issued by Ukrainian consular offices abroad based on invitations to study, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine (original and 2 copies of the translation into Ukrainian and notarised in Ukraine).
In case of absence of a D-13 visa, undergo the procedure of legalisation of educational documents in the country of their issuance: (legalisation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the country that issued the educational document; legalisation in the consular department of the diplomatic mission of Ukraine abroad (consular legalisation or apostille));
- A document on the bachelor's degree (original and 2 copies with translation into Ukrainian and notarisation);
- An appendix to the document on education (list of studied disciplines) (original and 2 copies with translation into Ukrainian and notarisation);
- A document on previous education (complete secondary education) (original and 2 copies with translation into Ukrainian and notarisation);
- 6 matt 3×4 cm photos (or sent electronically in good quality);
- Consent to the collection and processing of personal data;
- A liability insurance contract for reimbursement of expenses related to the execution of the decision on administrative expulsion from Ukraine (deportation).
If available, copies and originals of the following documents shall be submitted
- A permanent residence permit in Ukraine, or a permit for immigration to Ukraine, a diplomatic card of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, or another document confirming the right to stay in Ukraine;
- A certificate of the tax service on the assignment of a taxpayer registration number.
All documents issued in other countries must be translated into Ukrainian and notarised in Ukraine.

- A document on their previous education in accordance with the legislation of the country that issued the document on the degree (level) of education;
- On the results of the entrance exams at DNU.
For the Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Pharmacy, foreign citizens should pass 3 (three) entrance examinations:
1) Ukrainian language;
2) Mathematics;
3) A third subject of the applicant's choice (foreign language (English) or Geography, Chemistry, Physics, or Biology) with a score of at least 100 points for each.
For the Master's degree, foreign citizens should pass 2 (two) entrance examinations:
1) The Ukrainian language (with a maximum score of 200 points);
2) A professional exam (points are calculated depending on the speciality).
Foreigners who are granted state scholarships under international agreements, national programmes, and other international obligations of Ukraine are admitted to study within the established quotas for foreigners based on referrals from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Foreigners who arrive in Ukraine to participate in academic mobility programmes or to obtain higher education under educational programmes agreed between Ukrainian and foreign higher education institutions are admitted to study, taking into account the contractual obligations of the relevant higher education institutions.
The International Students Office of DNU ensures the involvement of foreign students to study at DNU and provides the procedure for admission, enrolment, recognition of documents on previous education, and documentation of a temporary residence permit for study.
The International Students Office provides support to foreign students throughout the entire period of their studies at DNU.
