DNU Educational Opportunities for Students from 15 Countries

Solemn handing of diplomas to 69 foreign students took place in DNU Student’s Palace.

This year citizens of 15 countries – Azerbaijan, Angola, Armenia, Ghana, Georgia, Jordan, Cameroon, China, Mali, Morocco, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan – became DNU graduates. Among them 65 students got education in education level “bachelor”, 4 students received diplomas in “specialist”. Most graduates of 2017 are from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. Nowadays foreign students study at every of the 15 faculties of the university. Majority of them are the students of International Economics Faculty, Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Study of Arts, Department of Physics, Electronics and Computer Systems, Faculty of Biology, Ecology and Medicine, Law Department.

Krystyna Heti, the head of the Department of Specialists Training for Foreign Countries and Academic Exchanges of DNU, noted: “Two foreign students of Aircraft and Rocket Construction specialty distinguished themselves, because they had defended diplomas in English language. Other presented diplomas in Russian and Ukrainian. More than 60% foreign students stay traditionally after graduating education level “bachelor” in order to continue education in magistracy. Other students will come back home, where they will have opportunity to work in specialty”.

During the solemn program teachers of Linguistic Training Department of foreigners, staff members of Department of Specialists Training for Foreign Countries and Academic Exchanges, and representatives of faculties – deans and deputy deans on working with foreign students congratulated our foreign students on the stage of Student’s Palace.

Several foreign students told about their choice of the country for study and their spent years in Ukraine.

Maimuna Dialo from Mali, who studied on Department of Physics, Electronics and Computer Systems, commented her university years: “I like telecommunications. After coming back to my motherland, I am going to run own business in this field. Sure, I possess solid basic knowledge. I enjoyed Ukrainian folk dancing, and was also impressed by your embroidery. By the way, I bought one. During these study years I visited Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk. If I have an opportunity, I will come to Ukraine with great pleasure”.

Meilis Bazarbayev, who arrived to Ukraine from Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, studied on Department of Physics, Electronics and Computer Systems, got bachelor diploma of Electronic Engineer. He shared his thoughts: “My friend recommended to study in DNU. During these years I had nice relationship with teachers and groupmates. The quality of education in DNU is the best. People in Ukraine are friendly, polite and nice. Living in your country is easier and better, there is all you want here. I have visited such cities as Poltava, Kyiv, Donetsk. I would also like to go to Odessa and Zaporizhzhya”.

From the scene a lot of foreign students expressed the desire to thank teachers for their kindness, attention, individual approach, patience and willingness to always help. They noted, their dreams came true in DNU, and the university, they studied, is the best.
