Art from Portugal in Support of Ukraine

Students of the Portuguese School of Communication, Arts and Creative Industries of the Higher Institute of Education and Science (Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências, ISEC Lisboa) have developed a special creative project Modern Fashion with a Message of Hope as a sign of support for Ukraine as part of their own design initiative Stamped Elegance.

The head of the student project is adjunct professor Maria Zulmira Bessa Amorim Nascimento Cunha. Communicating with Ukrainian scientists, Mrs. Maria was especially concerned about the terrible events in our country, so together with her students she decided to create her own project to support all Ukrainians. Thus, as part of the Marketing 3.0 course, third-year students studying for a degree in graphic design and production proposed a separate project called Stamped Elegance - Modern Fashion with a Message of Hope. Sympathizing with the citizens of Ukraine who are currently experiencing great stress, students Leandro Reis, Marta Quarejma, and Mariana Neto developed an original line of printed goods dedicated to the war.

The Portuguese scientist has a successful experience of scientific cooperation with her colleagues from Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. In particular, together with Oleksandr Krupskyi, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing and International Management of the Faculty of Economics of DNU, Maria has a joint publication in the scientific journal “Economics: Realities of Time” (Number 6, (70), 2023) of the National University “Odesa Polytechnic” and a joint presentation at the VIII ENCONTRO EM PSICOLOGIA POSITIVA conference “Forças de Carácter e Virtudes Humanas?” (Fernando Pessoa University, 2024). In addition, the works of Professor Maria Cunha were previously published in the scientific publication of the Faculty of Economics of DNU European Journal of Management Issues, which she became a member of the editorial board at the beginning of the new year 2024.
