Students of the Department
of Microbiology, Virology and Biotechnology became winners of Olympiads and competitions: Svetlana Hoprichkova won first place in Region contest for best scientific and practical findings "Intelligence – Creativity – Success," Olga Vlasenko won the Ukrainian competition of student research papers in natural, technical and humanity sciences.

Students are characterized by active participation in international conferences (X International Conference of Young Scientists "Biology: From Molecule to the Biosphere", III International scientific-practical conference "Recent advances in biotechnology and nanopharmacology", III International forum of students and young scientists).

In addition to the scientific work students of the department involved in the formation of democracy and open society of Ukraine (student Alexandra Demidova is member of the youth exchanges between Ukraine and the EU in programs Erasmus+ and The European Council).

International cooperation.
The Department is planning a cooperation agreement in the field of educational and scientific work with the Department of Biochemistry of Medical Faculty of Vilnius University (Lithuania). A number of studies have been carried out with the support of the Institute of Molecular Infectology of the Würzburg University (Germany) and it is planned to participate in the international program Bioenergy. It take place a talks about the agreement of cooperation with Aubum University (USA).
