The Head of Department is Kubrichenko Tetyana Victorivna, candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor Kubrichenko Tatyana Victorovna.

The Department has 8 teaching staff, including 1 doctor of psychological sciences and 7 candidates of sciences.
Research and teaching staff provide teaching 21 academic disciplines, including: introduction to speciality, zoopsychology and comparative psychology, rhetoric, social psychology, differential psychology, psychology of labour, psychology of extreme situations, basis of ecological psychology, management psychology, political psychology, psychology of communication, gender psychology, psychology of creativity, economic psychology, psychology of advertising, etc. In disciplines, the teaching of which is provided by the Department, composed of scientific-methodical complexes, prepared guidelines and manuals. The teaching staff provides scientific leadership diploma works of specialists and master's degrees, and management training and undergraduate students practice.
From 2019 to 2021 scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department published 60 scientific works, including in 2019 - 29. The teachers took part in 49 scientific conferences at various levels, in particular in 2019 - in 20 scientific conferences. A prosecution is completed of scientific theme "Socially-psychological features and conformities to law of socialization of personality in the conditions of transformation of society". At present, teaching staff is working on a new theme of research "Social identity of the individual in the modern conditions" as a result of which the planned preparation of the monograph. By the scientific activities of the Department under the guidance of teachers, students actively involved. The student scientific circle "Social Psychology" is powered held annual student conferences. Since 2015 postgraduate at the Department resumed. The Department provides scientific leadership of the social-psychological service Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.
Scientific and pedagogical staffs of the Department take an active part in international scientific conferences, publish their findings in the recommended Ministry of education and science of foreign editions.
Educator work is conducted by teachers not only during lessons, that provide an achievement both educational and developmental and educational purposes, and also in extracurricular time. The curators of academic groups conducted with students of a variety of activities aimed at the formation of professionally important qualities of the future psychologists and provide participating of young people in faculty and university educator measures: "Day of the first-year student", interfaculty CCW, festival "To Hear each other", a charity ball for children with disabilities opportunities in the meetings "Visiting the rector". Under the direction of counsels students conduct vocational orientation work, accept active voice in creative and sporting life of university, visit a botanical garden and also cooperate with Center of social initiatives and volunteering to Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.
