The Head of the Department is Ivanov Roman Vyacheslavovych, Doctor of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics.

Teaches such disciplines as:
• "Modern Models of Economic Analysis"
• "Decision Support Systems"
• "Simulation of Economic Systems"
• "Economic-mathematical Methods and Models: Optimization Methods and Models"

The sphere of scientific interests is the modeling of economic behavior at the macrolevel.

In the early seventies at the University the economic direction for training specialists was found on the basis of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. The Department of Economic Cybernetics was established by the order of the Ministry of Higher Education of the USSR and by the order of Rector of DSU № 143 from 10th February 1981. Heads of Department were: Assciate Professor Napadajlo V. A., Assciate Professor Beloshapka V. I., Professor Voronkov O.G. From 2004 to 2016 the Department was headed by prof. Yakovenko O.G., and already in early 2017 – Ivanov R.V.



Yakovenko Olexander Hryhorovych
– doctor of technical sciences, professor, an excellent teacher of education of Ukraine.

• "Modeling in the Management of Socio-economic Systems"
• "Management of Informatization Projects"
• "Information Management"

Scope of scientific interests is mathematical models of processes of activity in economic dynamics.

Volkova Valentyna Volodymyrivna
– candidate of economic sciences, associate professor, associate professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics.

• "Modeling of Economic Processes and Systems: The Theory of the Economy of the Region"
• "Modeling of Economic Processes and Systems: Mathematical Methods of Institutional Economy"

• "Forecasting Socio-economic Processes"
• "System Analysis"

The sphere of scientific interests is the modeling of regional socio-economic processes.

Oglih Valentyna Valerivna – candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor, associate professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics.

• "Modeling Non-linear Economic Processes"
• "Models of Economic Dynamics"
• "Economic and Mathematical Models in Management and Economics"

The sphere of scientific interests is the modeling of innovation-investment processes.

Scientific work is fulfilled on a state budgetary theme «Adoption of Socio-economic Solutions at the Micro and Macro Level in Market Conditions».


The annual event, which gathers in one place the most universal specialists of the Faculty of Economics, is The Cybernetics Day. Unpredictable talents who choose unexpected images, moving in time, space and not only. After all, the main principle of cybernetics testifies – everything in the world operates according to the same laws, so the students of this specialty can find familiar solutions in any world problem.

Applying the irreplaceable knowledge gained from their mentors, students at this event amaze with their ideas, concepts and talents. We are pleased not only students, but also teachers, setting a high bar of originality and unforgettable performances.
