On September 22, 2025, the master class “Washoku Experience: Taste of Japanese Traditions” was held in the culinary laboratory of the Faculty of Economics of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, which gave the participants a feeling of a real journey to the heart of Japan.
Brand chef of Giannigroup Artem Butko and chef of Giannivino restaurant Andrii Vorona created an atmosphere of a real culinary miracle. Guests did not just observe - they became part of the Washoku (和食) philosophy, where the harmony of “wa”, seasonality and respect for nature come to life in each dish.
The brightest moments of the event were the preparation of aromatic Japanese noodle soup and fresh sushi. The chefs revealed the secrets of choosing products, serving methods and told about the deep meaning of Japanese culinary traditions. The laboratory kitchen became a real workshop of inspiration, and the smells and colors of dishes immersed guests in a real gastronomic journey.
Washoku Experience proved that food can be a bridge between cultures. For students and guests of the faculty, this day was not only delicious, but also inspiring – it showed how traditions are transformed into the modern art of cooking.
