The Center for International Projects “Eurosvita” published the “Rating of the effectiveness of participation of Ukrainian higher education institutions in competitions of scientific projects (international and national) in 2024”.
Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, according to “Eurosvita”, entered the TOP 20 Ukrainian HEIs and took 2nd place in the region.
According to the total performance indicators of participation in scientific research in the national table, DNU is ranked 18th. This is a “silver” result among all HEIs of Dnipro region.
The 5 regional leaders are:
Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (5 universities united) – the 6th place in Ukraine; National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic” – the 39th place in Ukraine; Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University – the 40th place in Ukraine; Alfred Nobel University, University of Customs and Finance – shared the 41st place in Ukraine.
Compared to the ranking of 2023, DNU has risen by 6 positions – from the 24th (which it shared with the Western Ukrainian National University) to 18.
This natural result was achieved due to the significant intensification of university research project activities. Namely, if in 2023 only 3 scientific proposals from DNU won international and domestic competitions (1 – the competition of the
National Research Foundation of Ukraine and 2 – competitions of projects of young scientists), last year – 10 at once (+ 1 – the European competition Erasmus+ KA2 and 5 more – won in the competition of projects funded by the state order). Accordingly,
the number of types of competitions won by our institution differed: 2 (2023) versus 4 (2024).
The high performance of the Alma Mater community in all these areas only confirmed the scientific potential and competitiveness of our team at both the international and national levels.
In 2025, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University defines scientific project activities as one of its priority strategic directions. Currently, our scientists continue to systematically work on the development of new project proposals in search of stable grant support from the state and fruitful cooperation with international partners.
