Main Tasks and Functions of the Board


Main tasks of the department:
- involving the university in the implementation of international projects and programs of academic mobility;
- introducing other opportunities for participants of the educational process of DNU to realize their right to academic mobility, including under framework agreements;
- facilitating the involvement of relevant university structural units in joint research with foreign partners;
- processing the university's indicators for its inclusion in international rankings, analyzing the activities of DNU to improve its position;
- involvement of foreign specialists in the educational process of the university;
- organization of cultural exchanges.
Main functions of the department:
- Expanding contacts with international organizations, universities and research institutions, analyzing proposals of potential partners for cooperation;
- monitoring existing international projects and programs of international cooperation, analyzing the conditions and possibilities of the university's participation in them for further involvement of DNU in such partnerships;
- performing protocol functions during the reception of foreign delegations at the university, preparing official visits of DNU delegations abroad;
- monitoring the implementation of international agreements, projects and programs at the university;
- informing university structural units about current opportunities to participate in international projects and academic mobility programs;
- assisting higher education students and academic staff of the university in preparing documents for foreign assignments and business trips.

DNU activities in the field of international cooperation
• Currently, there are 93 bilateral agreements on international partnership with universities in 32 countries, including the USA, Italy, France, Germany, the UK, Sweden, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Turkey, Cyprus, Brazil, and India.
• The total number of partners with whom Erasmus+ KA1 mobility projects have been implemented and continue to be implemented is 15.
• On June 1, 2023, the British rating agency Times Higher Education published the results of the annual ranking of world higher education institutions THE University Impact Rankings 2023. Oles Honchar Dnipro National University was included in this influential international ranking for the first time and immediately took the fourth place among Ukrainian universities (range 1001+ of the total world ranking).
• In December 2021, according to the international ranking of universities QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) University Rankings 2022, DNU took the position 211-220 and was on the 11th place among Ukrainian universities.
• In September 2023, in the ranking of the best universities in the world according to the British magazine Times Higher Education - World University Rankings 2024, DNU took the fourth position in the national ranking table and became the only representative of regional Dnipro universities on the list. In the general list of world universities, DNU is traditionally located in the group 1201+.
