DNU's Golden Class of 2026

On July 24, a special celebration took place in the conference hall of the smart shelter at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University: Bachelor's degree graduates who earned their degrees with honors were officially presented with their diplomas.

In total, in 2026, our Alma Mater is sending 1,491 Bachelor’s graduates out into the world, with 215 of them earning diplomas with distinction!

 

The graduates were congratulated by Rector of DNU Sergiy Okovytyy, Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Nataliia Huk, and the Deans of all 14 faculties.

 

– Dear graduates, your university journey was a true test of strength. You enrolled during the hardest, first year of the full-scale war. You studied to the sound of air raid sirens, took exam sessions during blackouts, and balanced your classes with volunteering and supporting the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Your diplomas are a symbol of your incredible resilience and your ability to overcome any circumstances.

 

I recall my own student years, when one of my professors shared a phrase with our group that stayed with me for a lifetime: 'Today, you have a choice: to merely exist or to truly become someone'. I chose the path of becoming someone – and I have never regretted it once. Therefore, I sincerely wish each of you to truly fulfill yourselves as individuals, as professionals, and as happy human beings", emphasized Sergiy Okovytyy.

 

Nataliia Huk highlighted the outstanding achievements of the graduates:

 

– Many of you have become recipients of prestigious scholarships from the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as well as municipal and regional programs supporting talented youth. This demonstrates that your accomplishments enjoy state recognition.

 

I sincerely hope that the knowledge you have acquired at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University will serve as a solid foundation for your professional growth, and that each of you will find your own path to success, realize your full potential, and make a significant contribution to the development of Ukraine. Congratulations on your well-deserved honor diplomas!, noted Nataliia Huk.

 

The Deans of the faculties addressed the attendees with warm words of encouragement and fond memories of the shared four-year journey with their top students. Together with the Rector, they presented the diplomas with distinction to the honors graduates.

 

In their response, Leon Braha, Head of the DNU Student Council and graduate of the Faculty of History, along with Polina Popova, graduate of the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Art History, expressed their gratitude to all the professors and fellow classmates for those unforgettable years filled with student events, volunteer initiatives, mutual support, and camaraderie.
