Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026: DNU Confirms its Position

For the fifth year in a row, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University is ranked in one of the most influential international university rankings, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR 2026). In the new edition of the 2026 ranking from the British agency Times Higher Education, DNU maintains its position in the 1501+ category.

The list of universities, trusted by students, scientists, governments and international industry experts, this year includes 2,191 HEIs from 115 countries and territories, which is 185 more than last year. It should be noted that Ukrainian higher education has demonstrated record success for the entire time of participation in this global assessment. In 2026, 22 domestic universities were included in the prestigious THE World University Rankings – five HEIs more than last year.

The highest positions among Ukrainian institutions were occupied by: Sumy State University (category 801–1000) and I.Ya. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (category 1201–1500). All other 20 national HEIs that retained their positions in the world ranking are located in the category 1501+ (in alphabetical order).

Dnipropetrovsk region is represented in THE WUR 2026 by three universities that have the same total index – 10.3-27.2: Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic”, Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology.
