Scopus-2026: DNU is the Regional Leader in Terms of the Number of Scientific Articles

According to the results of scientometric monitoring of subjects of scientific and publishing activity of Ukraine by the quantitative indicator of scientific publications in the scientometric database SciVerse Scopus in April 2026, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University entered the TOP-10 universities of Ukraine, where it is the only representative of the HEIs of the region .

In the Scopus ranking table – one of the world's largest abstract scientometric databases - all selected universities of Ukraine are ranked by the Hirsch index - a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific articles published by HEIs' specialists and the number of their citations.

In particular, by the quantitative indicator of scientific publications indexed in Scopus in 2026, DNU took the 8th place in Ukraine and the 1st place in the Dnipro region. The leading position among the HEIs of the Dnipro region was brought by 5933 publications of scientific works by representatives of our university.

According to the Hirsch index – 59 – DNU has the third result among the presented universities of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Together with us, the TOP-3 Dnipropetrovsk regional HEIs included: Dnipropetrovsk State Medical University (the 1st place in the region – Hirsch index 67) and Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (the 2nd place in the region – Hirsch index 64).

In general, the national ranking table evaluated only higher education institutions of Ukraine that have separate Affiliation IDs in the official Scopus list and respond to the search query “Ukraine” in the search field “Affilation Search”. HEIs that had a Hirsch index of less than 1 were not taken into account in the ranking.
