Student- Mathematician of DNU – ICMU Awards 2025 Laureate

Daniil Doroshenko, a master’s student at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, was awarded the ICMU Awards 2025 student research award.

The prestigious award of the International Centre for Mathematics in Ukraine (ICMU) was received by the student for the work “Boyanov-Naydenov Problem and Inequalities of Different Metrics”, published in the “Ukrainian Mathematical Journal”. The scientific article was written in co-authorship with the professor of the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Optimization of DNU, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Volodymyr Kofanov.

Currently, as a student, Daniil Doroshenko focuses his mathematical interests on approximation theory, function theory, operator theory, and functional analysis.

The joint scientific work of mathematicians of DNU will be awarded a one-time cash prize of 50,000 hryvnias!

About the ICMU Student Research Award:

The ICMU Awards scientific award is held for the second time by the International Center for Mathematics in Ukraine. In 2025, students from universities across Ukraine competed in the competition for the best student works in the field of mathematical sciences.

The competitive selection lasted from August to December 2025. On December 15, a commission consisting of members of the ICMU Coordination Committee and representatives of several Ukrainian HEIs announced the final results.

This year, 4 scientific student projects were awarded the ICMU Awards cash prize. Together with our talented Daniil Doroshenko, young researchers from Kyiv Academic University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv won the national competition.
