Opening up Rotary Club Opportunities for DNU Students

On October 13, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University concluded a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with the Dnipro branch of the Rotary Club (“Dnipro Novy”) of the international club organization Rotary Club District 2232. The new partnership will promote professional growth and international academic exchanges of students and teachers of the Dnipro Law Faculty.

To sign the strategic document, the acting president of the Rotary Club “Dnipro Novy” Igor Clark and the ex-president Gennady Khrystyan visited our university. The university team was represented by the rector Sergiy Okovytyy, the vice-rector for legal affairs and development Herman Peter, the acting dean of the Faculty of Law Oleksandr Sachko and the students of this faculty. The parties concluded a memorandum with a term of validity of 5 years.

 

Interested in the development of such useful cooperation is the Rotary Club “Dnipro Novy” - the Dnipro center of the international voluntary club organization, which unites 1.2 million members from more than 200 countries and geographical areas. For over 115 years, this global network of volunteers has been devoting its time and talent to solving the world’s most pressing humanitarian problems. In Dnipro, the Rotary association has been implementing large-scale humanitarian and social projects since 1997.

 

One of the permanent directions of work of Rotary Club representatives is, in particular, the development of partnership projects between universities in Ukraine, Europe and the USA. In this type of club activity, positive changes implemented by young people are actively supported – through the development of leadership qualities, involvement in local and international projects and exchange programs that promote personal growth and cultural understanding.

  

The memorandum proposes to explore the possibilities of educational and scientific cooperation between the world club organization Rotary and DNU.
