Congratulations on Receiving a Scientific Grant!

The Director of the Research Institute of Chemistry and Geology of the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Vitaliy Palchykov, received a grant from the Fulbright Academic Exchange Program for a scientific internship at Carnegie Mellon University (Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA).

This prestigious American Fulbright Grant 2025-2026 was obtained jointly with Professor Gabe Gomez and DNU Chemistry Faculty graduate Oleksandr Isaev.

The international team will undergo an 8-month scientific internship in the USA - from September 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026. The new project is dedicated to the development of photoswitches based on norbornadiene structures, which can be used as key components in molecular solar thermal (MOST) systems.

The Fulbright Scholarship Program is an international technical assistance program and is implemented by the Institute of International Education under a grant from the U.S. Department of State (USDoS) No. SECAGD23CA0015 (project registration card No. 1021-16 dated December 18, 2023).

The program is aimed at the exchange of specialists between Ukraine and the United States of America, the development of education and science, and improving the professional level of teachers of higher education institutions. The beneficiary of the technical assistance program is the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the recipients are scientists, graduate students, young teachers, and graduates of higher education institutions.

It should be noted that the Faculty of Chemistry of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University is an important center for training chemists in Ukraine, combining long-standing traditions with modern approaches to education and science.

Thanks to international cooperation and a strong scientific base, the faculty educates specialists who achieve success both in Ukraine and far beyond its borders. Demonstrating a high level of training, graduates of the Faculty of Chemistry of DNU gain international recognition for their scientific achievements.
