DNU is in the TOP-20 of the Scopus-2025 Ranking

The annual ranking of Ukrainian higher education institutions according to the data indicators of the SciVerse Scopus scientometric database has been published on the Osvita.ua portal. According to several indicators in 2025, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University entered the TOP-10 and TOP-20 of Ukrainian universities.

The ranking was created based on the results of scientometric monitoring of subjects of scientific and publishing activity in Ukraine according to SciVerse Scopus data as of May 5, 2025. The national ranking table included 221 higher education institutions that have separate Affiliation IDs in the official Scopus list and respond to the search query “Ukraine” in the “Affilation Search” search field. The selected Ukrainian HEIs were ranked according to the Hirsch index - a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific articles published by specialists of educational institutions and the number of their citations. Institutions with a Hirsch index of less than 1 were also not taken into account in the ranking.

By the quantitative indicator of scientific articles indexed in Scopus, DNU entered the TOP-10 of the country - 8th place in Ukraine and 1st place in the region. In particular, the leading position among HEIs of the Dnipropetrovsk region was brought by 5633 publications of scientific works by representatives of our university. By the number of citations, DNU is in the TOP-20 in Ukraine – 12th place nationwide and 2nd place in the region for 31070 scientific mentions.

By integrated indicators (Hirsch index 55, 5633 publications and 31070 citations) Oles Honchar Dnipro National University took the overall 18th place in Ukraine. This is the third result among the presented universities of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Together with Alma Mater, the TOP-3 Dnipro regional HEIs evaluated in the ranking are: Dnipro State Medical University (12th place in Ukraine, 1st place in the region) and Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (14th place in Ukraine, 2nd place in the region).
