“Night of Youth Science 2025 in Wartime”
On May 19, 2025, the 10th-anniversary popular-science event “Night of Youth Science 2025 in Wartime” organized by the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, took place, where early-career researchers presented their scientific achievements.

At the opening, participants were welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Denys Kurbatov, and by Olesia Vashchuk, Chair of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for 2020–2025.
The session was moderated by Anastasiia Simakhova, First Deputy Chair of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and alumna of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.
For many years, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University has actively participated in this event. This year, over 50 young scientists from various fields took part. Among the most active were researchers from DNU:

• Viktoriia Kurchenko, PhD, Senior Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Hydrobiology, Ichthyology and Radiobiology, Research Institute of Biology, with the presentation “Development of Helice Culture in Ukraine.”

• Oleh Nesterenko, PhD, Senior Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Hydrobiology, Ichthyology and Radiobiology, Research Institute of Biology, with the presentation “Rehabilitation of Triturus vulgaris Populations Affected by Anthropogenic Activity and War.”

• Ivan Borovyk, PhD, Junior Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Hydrobiology, Ichthyology and Radiobiology, Research Institute of Biology, with the presentation “Artificial Spawning Grounds for Fish as a Method of Conservation and Restoration of Ichthyofauna.”

• Kyrylo Tymoshenko, PhD-student, Faculty of Chemistry, with the presentation “Synthesis of Ferrocene-Containing Tetrahydropyrazines.”

We sincerely thank the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine — especially the event moderator, First Deputy Chair Anastasiia Simakhova — for organizing “Night of Youth Science 2025 in Wartime,” and all participants for their engaging presentations of scientific achievements and developments. All participants were awarded certificates.
